Welcome to the middle of nowhere: Kendrick
A long winding, bumpy road that seems as though it has not been properly paved in decades is your fist welcome to this little town. If you glance through your windows all you can see miles trees and oceans of dead and new grass. Not a single car has passed you by and there are no high buildings that you can catch sight of. Just empty space. Eventually, a sign stands at the side of the road. It’s old but you can still read the words in the bold lettering:
“Welcome to Kendrick” The tall tales: Secrets and Myths
Like most towns, Kendrick has its stories. One in particular that is known to all of the generations in the town is the story of old Jack Frost. The first house on Main Street is said to be haunted by the man that once lived there. His house is one of the oldest in Kendrick: and it shows. Only the few brave kids run in there to complete a dare or to simply prove that they aren’t afraid of any stupid ghost. But, even if you don’t believe in those silly tales, what is the figure gazing out the window or standing at the top of the stairs? The Pack Yard: School
Kendrick, unlike most towns, only has one school besides the University. One school for the kindergarteners all the way up to the twelfth graders. The school is kept in sections but there is no doubt that the small classrooms and lunchrooms do get quite crowded. Not to mention the cramped school is always begging for some drama. Cliques and all that business? There’s no time to sort anyone into groups. You’re friends with the people you like and you aren’t friends with the people you don’t like. Simple as that. The End: Your Beginning
Goodbye old life, hello Kendrick. Whether you have lived here all your life and your family has been around since your great-great-great-great grandmother or if you are a simple newcomer, there is always a new beginning. Where are you going to fit in?
